Deputy Superintendent of Police Nanbol Audu, who was the officer in charge of the Kaduna Armory, has killed himself days after he was paraded with two others for stealing and selling police weapons to criminals and rich people in the state. He was paraded this past Monday October 27th DSP Audu, an officer who had served in the police force for 30 years and was due to retire in five years, shot himself in the stomach around 5.40am today October 31st inside his detention cell at the police headquarters in Kaduna, it was announced on radio today. The state police commissioner Umar Shehu confirmed the incident.

His name was John Moore and he was the famous "Father Christmas" who inspired Coca Cola’s character and appeared in many ads for the brand. He died recently at the age of 86 and is being buried today in Burgess Hill, Sussex,UK. When he was not shooting for Coca-Cola, he spent the rest of the year working as a taxi driver and barman. RIP, Mr Moore.

The scary moment a Great White shark trailed surfer Andy Johnston back to shore was captured on camera and only released yesterday, weeks after the incident happened. According to reports, Andy and his friends were surfing at West Beach near Esperance, south-east of Perth Australia, on Sept. 21 when people ashore spotted the shark trailing the surfer. They all started shouting, some honking their car horns to warn And y, who paddled immediately to escape the shark. The dramatic moments was captured by Frits De Bruyn, who was on holiday in the city. " We were at a lookout and we saw a shadow in the water. It became evident it was a shark and everyone started shouting. There was about a dozen surfers and paddle boarders in the water. He followed him to shore for a bit... he was only a body-length behind him.The surfer went straight back out a few minutes after the shark swam away.' Mr De Bruyn told Daily Mail Australia. Looks like the Kano State govt is really seeking the death penalty for 14-year-old child bride Wasila Tasi'u, who allegedly killed her 35 year old husband, Umar Sani and 3 of his friends with rat poison in the village of Unguwar Yansoro in Kano, 17 days after she was forced to marry him in April 2014.

A bomb blast at the Central Park in Cross, Gombe state, has reportedly killed dozens. According to eyewitnesses,the bomb was planted by a young man who came and dropped his bag in a Kano line bus and left. The blast reportedly killed about 30 people  especially those who boarded the bus for Kano,and rescue efforts are still on with victims taken to the Gombe Specialist hospital.. More details soon..

In 2010, newlywed British national Shrien Dewani and his 28 year old wife Anni Dewani were in South Africa for their honeymoon and while riding in taxi in Cape Town on Nov. 13th, Anni was shot dead by two men who hijacked the taxi. The men involved in the murder were later caught and they shockingly confessed that the new husband had hired them to attack them in the car and kill his wife.
