Samuel Falowo a.k.a Prometh, a 300 level Biology student at the University of Abuja won the Nokia Don’t Break Da Beat 2013 rap competition, organized in partnership with Trace. Prometh, emerged winner at the grand finale held on Friday November 22 nd at 10 Degrees, Oregun, Ikeja beating 9 other contestants which included, HEC, Miekharry, Psychobarz, EM.A, Dusten Truce, Baysix, Jurggis, Golden and High M; taking home the cash prize of $20,000. Continue...   It was also a night of fun with electrifying performances from top Nigerian music artists; Wizkid, Olamide, MI, Lynxx, Phyno, Skales, Sean Tizzle, Jesse Jagz, May D and Blink .   

The singer took to twitter to announce that she's signed an endorsement deal with telecoms company, Etisalat. Congrats to her!

N ewly wed couple, Tiwa Savage and TeeBillz made their first appearance as a couple at the MTV Base Shuga premiere which held yesterday, November 26 th  at the Silverbird Galleria in VI. Lagos. Tiwa who plays the role of club owner, Sade in the third season of the award winning drama series joined a host of other celebrities like Basketmouth, Banky W, Bovi, Alex Ekubo, OC Ukeje, Uru Eke, Damilola Adegbite, Toolz and others to witness the premiere of the first Shuga season ever shot in Nigeria. A healing river was reportedly discovered in Nachi Oji River in Enugu State, last week. A mystery to the people of Nachi for decades nick named the “Pool of Bethsaida” and appears every 20 years, as confirmed by the indigenes.   This year, the pool was discovered by fulani herdsmen who were on their way to feed their cattle. According to them, they passed the spot where the water usually came from and there wasn’t any water, but on their way back they discovered the whole place has been covered with water. According to the oldest man in the community, the water appears every 20 or 30 years, they first saw it in 1971. He also confirmed that various diseases and ailments have been cured at the pool. The water stays for 1 to 2 weeks then dries up, and most people who visited the area gave testimonies on how they received healing from the water.
